One of those things is wanting a divorce from my husband of 13 years. It was my choice and I honestly did not think that I was going to survive it, but I am. Of course at first it was hard, the emotions, the anger, the guilt and sadness, etc. But as I am heading into a new life, I am beginning to feel better. Sometimes you just have to look out for yourself and at times that means leaving someone behind. In order to be happy and live your life to the fullest, you have to be able to take those big leaps. I wanted a divorce a year ago but I tried sticking it out, and let me tell you, that was not good. Not only was that unfair to myself but also to my soon to be ex. I need and want to start a new life, one where I can make the decisions on what I am or am not going to do. A life where I feel that I can be free and be able to do whatever I want. This is something I feel I have to do. So, just hang in there if you are going through the same thing, because it will hurt at first, but eventually you will find peace.
